What is WorkFIT™?
WorkFIT™ is a programme fthat supports young people to identify their barriers to employment and works with them to put definted goals and a clear plan of how to address these in place so they are better equipped for their chose career path.
The programme provides young people with a series of focused workshops alongside dedicated coaching and mentoring to support the individual in the creation and implementation of an action plan that addresses any primary and secondary barriers to employment.
Through a combination of 1:1 virtual coaching and distance learning WorkFIT™ sessions, participants will complete the programme with a clear focus and plan for addressing these barriers and move towards work.
The programme is accessible by computer, tablet and mobile devies so participants can access the dedicated learning resources at any time.
Who is WorkFIT™ for?
WorkFIT™ is designed primarily to support those aged 16-24 who are entering the workforce for the first time or have limited employment experience.
With the recent introduction of the Kickstart Scheme in the UK, WorkFIT™ is the perfect course to support both Kickstarters and their employers in the developing the employability skills that are a mandatory requirement of the Kickstart Scheme.

How is WorkFIT™ delivered?
INITIAL ASSESSMENT & ENROLMENT
Participants will carry out an online enrolment with one of our IAG qualified learner recruitment consultants. As part of this they will undertake a diagnostic interview to assess employability, employment related activity, transferrable skills and any primary/secondary barriers to employment.
PERSONAL WORKFIT™ ASSESSMENT
Participants will meet with their WorkFIT™ coach to discuss their barriers to employment and their future goals. This will also include a personal assessment of skills, experience, personal circumstances, health (both physical & mental), attitude and progression opportunities. Participants will then create a SMART action plan aimed at addressing and resolving identified barriers to employment.
4 X 40 MINUTE WORKFIT™ SESSIONS
These video based sessions will be available through our online portal. As well as covering key employability skills and topice, each session embeds functional skills to support the initial development of individual skills in these areas fo the current level they are working towards. The sessions available are:
- Achieveing your best
- Working with others
- Developing Resilience
- Getting WorkFIT
- Heading back into the workplace (for those previously employed)
Our regular group sessions will further develop sklls and behaviours in preparation for employment. Participants will have the ability to share experiences and opinions that will help embed their prior learning and support their transition into work.
