This course is for you if you’re considering working within the construction and civil engineering industry.

There are three stages to obtaining your CSCS card:

01. Complete the course

The course leads to a fully accredited Level 1 award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment. This qualification is an essential part of your application for your CSCS card.

You will need to complete an exam consisting of 40 multiple choice questions and you will have 60 minutes to complete it. The pass mark is 80%.

02. BOOK YOUR TEST

Go to a CITB Touch Screen Test centre to book your CITB HS&E test. Which the Training Initiative will arrange for you. Same again You will need to complete an exam consisting of 40 multiple choice questions and you will have 60 minutes to complete it. The pass mark is 80%.

03. Apply for the card

Once you have passed both of the above, apply for the card, also paid for by the Training Initiative.

ELigibility

To be eligible for funding you must meet the following requirements:

  • Aged between 15-24
  • Live in Staffordshire
  • Not currently in employment, education or training

Note you may be eligible for funding if you are at risk of losing your job.
